Well I would like to hear more Shaolin. I have been trying to decide between the Fallkniven Idun Northern Light Series Knife and the Bravo 1. I voted for the SOD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I just got a Bravo-I (along with the YK and the MPLE...nice). They are all unique and special just like women. I can say that i do like the Bravo-I very much it fits my hand well and is ready to roll out of the box.

I hear Falkniven are great and it just boils down to preference, I had input from people who had both I ended up with the thicker A2 Bravo. I need to get a couple Mora knives as well.

I'll cast my vote for the SOD, and I have a Bravo-2. The Bravo-2 is not a chopper. It will chop, like the S6 will chop, but there is no way its narrow blade is a match for the SOD in chopping. A fairer comparison would be the Hudson Bay Camp knife. If Dan had offered the Scrapper 7, that would be a fair comparison. By the way, the Hudson Bay can hold its own with my Sarsquatch CE in chopping, so it is no slouch.

I want which ever is going to keep its edge the longest. I think the A2 has a little better edge retention than SR77. But I have no complaints with the SR77. SR101 also beats it in edge retention, but with the Busse heat treat, the SR77 does well enough. It is easy to sharpen, too. And I know of no other steel in any knife made that is as tough.

I voted for the SOD, and purchased all three versions. I had been considering the Bravo II as I think it's a very interesting knife, and Bark River quality is excellent. However, the NMSFNO has put the Bravo II on the back burner for a long time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I believe the SOD will be my new EDC knife - and I have a LOT of knives to choose from! It will be a classic, and I encourage every Dog to get one or you will be sorry if you don't. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I voted neither.. Both will be very good but I've already got a Basic 7 which is great and fills the size bracket nicely..
Plus this country's economy is in total melt down right now, so the money's better off in a bank. Now, just going to go find a bank that isn't going to collapse due to sub-prime mortgage problems..

SOD!!
The Bravo-II is cool, but I'd much rather haver the SOD, it can do more for me. SOD might not cut better out the box, but that can be fixed. Nothing against the knives, but I'm never sending my money to Mike Stewart. Not just from the whole $16,000, but the way he and his friends acted toward the whole situation and things I've heard about him personally.
