I recall that Renee posted that Scrap Yard intended to send some knives to Blade West, but that they weren't ready on time. So, that batch got added to the Fall Knob Creek shipment.

Hey Jeff, did you notice that the Tan DF grind was different than the others; it's full but the Blacks and Tanks are saber? I didn't notice the difference until Steel Fan posted about it.

Nice variants all around of both Scrapyards and BCs. I really like the tan DF. Also that snow white bladed SFNO is pretty trick too.

Here's that post by Renee:
"OHHHHHHH Renee", which transitioned to "Thinking BIG and 'SR' steel....."

I remembered seeing the post when she made it, but you're absolutely right that it's buried in a thread that's not very easy to find -- it took me a several tries and I knew exactly who and what to look for as search terms.

I think Blade may have been before Renee joined the Yard, so perhaps she was simply passing along what she was told. When I first read that, I wondered if it was going to result in a "heated discussion". I'm glad it didn't because she's still fairly new here, but that policy may be part of the new business model and practices. If so, it's not the way I'd handle things -- as far as I'm concerned, the more people know about what's going on, the happier they should be -- but it's not my company. As a matter of fact, I suggested to Drew that it would be well received if the Busse crew posted pictures of what's on the tables as soon as possible -- the fans want that information.

I tried to proxy for a couple folks at Knob Creek, but wasn't able to help either of them because the things they'd asked me to look for weren't there (in one case, new SY and SR models, in the other, distortion in the picture posted on BladeForums made an ASH look like something else). If people had more information about what would be there, that wouldn't have happened.

Anyway, that's probably enough about this topic here -- I don't want to hijack Jeff's thread.

I had to stay back and take care of all these SOD orders that have been coming in! I wish I could have been there also to meet everyone, it sounds like it has been a lot of fun!

As far as my comment about not telling what we are taking to shows, maybe I should have been more clear....I meant that we do not tell about the variety of the knives we are taking. I do agree that something maybe should have been posted about Blade West but by the time we knew that we were not going to be able to get the knives there it was too late. In the future I will try to make sure that things are posted about shows.

Good thing I decided not to make it out to BW as I don't think I would have been a happy camper if I did...
