I have always preferred the Bowie blade shape. The original Ratweiler looks better to me than the Chopweiler. It doesn't work any better. The Camp TRamp is nice, but I like the more "Bowie" shape of the SOD. So I gave one of my Sarquatches a Bowie clip point. Some may hate it. Some may like it. I like it. I gave it a full convex grind and extended and straightened the swedge. I think of it as my INFI SOD, even though it has a 1/2" shorter blade than the SOD. It makes the Bravo-2 look narrow. Some of my bad 6.5"-7" blades.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

That looks okay......but for some unknown reason I found the Sarsquatch to be a very unique shaped blade and am drawn to it's shape and feel, just the way it was.
But Hey!!!.....it's your knife and as long as it pleases you....It's all good.
When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

By a stroke of luck, I ended up with two. So I still have a "normal" one.

I, for one, LOVE what you did to your SarQ, Vic. And the word I'd apply to the Bravo 2 compared to the rest of the blades you pictured with it is "anorexic"! At least in blade width, Bruce. The Bravo is slightly thicker than the Squatch at .215" vs <.187". This Sarq Bowie feels great in the hand, light and fast. And sharp.

I appreciate the thought, Bruce, but I ain't Ban. Ban could do it right. I do convex edges for others, but not radical stuff. If I did another SARQ Bowie, there is no guarantee it would look the same. It is all done by hand and eye, with no measured grinds or angles. Typical 3rd World stuff. Heck, I don't even bother removing the scales and sanding the ricasso and pommel smooth. These are just users for me.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I have to confess, I've never been able to totally get used to the SARsquatch blade shape myself... Just doesn't totally appeal to me...
When I saw you pics Vic, it shed a whole new light on it for me...
A stroke of genius! Great job! Although I can't do that to mine right now for obvious reasons, eventually mine to will be modified just like that!

I am pleased that it still fits the very nice sheath you made for me. I put the CE in the Kydex you made. Believe it or not, it still has the original point. All I did was lengthen the swedge and straighten it. There were times when I thought, "Great, I've screwed up a $300+ Busse", but eventually I got the swedge grinds fairly even and smooth. I was just happy it came out as well as it did.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Whether or not you like the "style" choice, you can't deny the workmanship.
Nicely done, Vic!

That looks great Vic. Did you use the HCLEs swedge as inspiration?
