I like it Vic. As a matter of fact, I think it would look good with even more of a clip.

That looks great Vic. Did you use the HCLEs swedge as inspiration?

I don't know, cp. I'm sure there were many subconscious influences. The SOD was one, even though it lacks a swedge, the profile is similar. The whole thing just sort of evolved on the grinder. I didn't really plan this project at all. I started out just grinding out the dimples and rough spots. When I got to the swedge, I initially just wanted to straighten it a bit. It kept growing until a bowie mysteriously appeared.

Making hundreds of knives a day is a lot different than spending time modding one, pitman. Here are some, hopefully, better shots of the Sarsquatches.

It looks great Vic! It looks a whole lot more appealing than the original. I never really warmed up to the funky original swedge and that is essentially what I wanted to do to mine. I will get around to it someday if I don't end up selling it first.

Thanks, Ban. I can wait to see it done right. I was so proud of my full convexed ASH1 Skinny, until I saw one of yours that a guy had for sale. It was perfection. I was going to buy it, but I was too slow. Do one for us. I'd love to see it. There is a bad bowie hiding under that steel.

Nice work. It somehow looks more functional to me now...

Well all I really started out to do was complete the full convex grind and sand out the INFI dimples. I had trouble getting the existing swedge to look right so I straightened it and lengthened it and then I realized that it was becoming a bowie, so I just went with it. Once the swedge was straight it changed the whole look of the blade. It is less functional for batonning, but probably better for drilling and sticking things. And I always did prefer the Bowie shape in a big knife.

I don't see that as a modified SarQ. It's a new knife.

Vic bought hardened INFI stock with a pre-installed micarta grip. Kinda the opposite take on the kit knives.
