I am not really sure how "Scrapyard blades rock" when the thread referenced is about Busse Combat. Seems to be a faulty conclusion.

What he meant was that SY knives, at a lower cost then Busse knives, can handle what a Busse can.

I realize that but the conclusion is a faulty one. Sentence construction, but I was a little suprised when I opened up the thread.

i was batoning on top of a huge rock with my NMFBM...{which is the knife that guy had the problem with chopping bone}...and i blew through the wood and chopped strait down into the rock.i didnt even want to look because i knew it was going to be bad.the damage turned out to be so minor i could barely see it and could never photograph it.i was dumb founded but happy and relieved.

another time i was batoning through a 4in thick log with my CGDF and some measly little knot gave the edge the worse roll i have ever seen.the roll itself was almost an inch long.i cant even begin to explain the horrible things i have done to my DFLE including striking concrete and have never had a problem assuming it wasnt one with the air bubble problem but that doesnt count.i'm talking healthy SR77.

bottom line is i'm confused.

one day i look at a knife funny and it gets hurt and another day i commit gross atrocities to it and it laughs and it doesnt matter if we're talking INFI,SR77 or SR101,a;though i do have to admit i've had the best luck with SR101 so far.i love that rock hard, high carbon ball bearing steel

Inconsistencies may point to inconsistencies in manufacturing treatment.

Don't worry mate, most of us old-timers speak that odd dialect known as 'Pit'! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
