I bought it from Yangdu/HI.

The blade was coated in generous coat of a clear oil when I received it. Not certain, but perhaps a mineral oil or silicone oil of some sort.

Renwax... I'm going to order some of that stuff, I've seen it pop a few times on this forum. Thanks!
