This is a crappy pic from a camera phone, but its a small 7 point buck I killed last week. The rack is small and messed up on one side. Its the second buck I seen like that. It weighed 105 lbs field dressed. It was chasing a doe from the river bottom and I shot it with my .270 Tikka T3. It was a pretty easy shot about 30 yards or so. I did miss a 4 pointer last week with my muzzle loader from about the same distance. I think I rushed the shot on it. This deer will be good eating. ![[Linked Image from i36.tinypic.com]](http://i36.tinypic.com/13z2103.jpg)

Thats a fine deer there. I'm not a hunter myself, but I do appriciate the skills needed to pull off a successful hunt. So, nice work! Let us know how the meat turns out
Have you hugged your camp knife today?

I probably drug it around 200 yards I'd say. I was really tired too, it felt like a 200 lb deer. I should be picking up the meat from the processer today or tomorrow.

Nice going! Hunting season around here has been dismal so far, but hopefully rut will turn on the faucet. Tikkas, I've come to believe, rule. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Happiness at the range a couple weeks ago.
Dirty, wet, and unprotected. \m/

Those Tikka's are nice shooters and great rifles for the money. I wouldn't mind getting another Tikka in another caliber. Our rut here in Georgia is just starting. I'm seeing a lot of deer, but have been selective on what deer I shoot.
