I had a chance, when I was in Vegas a few years ago, to go to either the Grand Canyon or Death Valley. I guess I'd seen too many Road Runner cartoons, because we went to Death Valley. It was hot rock after hot rock - not at all what Wiley Coyote had depicted. Great shots!

Thanks everyone. The landscape around the Canyon is simply stunning. Here are a few shots from the air. Now who wouldn't want to grab his backpack and a good knife (like the trusty SY <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> )and explore this amazing countryside? I think I will have to go and retire there one day...

Those are gorgeous pics, I lived in Arizona for a year and never made it to the canyon, I regret that as I will probably never make it back
