What's +/- .01-.02" among friends? Why does it matter? It won't make any appreciable difference in the performance of the product.

maybe they work in the circus and when your throwing sharpies at the misses on a spinning wheel, exactness counts! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

While +/- .01-.02 might not make an appreciable performance difference, a company that advertises .25 inch thick blades should be pretty close to that. When I worked at a machine shop, the standard tolerance for a dimension that was measured to the hundredths of an inch was +/- .01, so getting out to .02 is a bit much. Also, while this may not matter to others, I like my Busse kin blades thick! That adds to their coolness factor!
