Life is largely a matter of perspective.

Try ordering a Randall knife sometime...you might see it in four years. No joke.

and there wouldn't be as much hype among knife enthusiasts over Busses' product line

proven performance duplicated independantly by thousands of customers isn't "hype".

Please excuse a poor choice of words. What I was trying to state was that with quality knives like the Bussekins (that are in such limited available quantities at times and/or with certain models), knife enthusiasts tend to become very: "enthused", "anxious", "driven", "obsessed", and "hungry" for the opportunity to obtain these knives.

I hope this better defines my statement. I can't seem to think of a single word right now that properly describes how driven some of us become over Dan and the clans' amazing work. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

... Based on the voting so far, however, most of the Dogs think it's going end up missing a spoke or two.
It's not my place to be the "language police", but there are usually a number of ways to say exactly the same thing -- some of which will come off as much more critical/judgmental than others. This is an example of saying something in a way that might be more controversial than intended; it's clever, but it's also a bit inflammatory. I think something like, "... most of the Dogs think that's not going to be the case." might make life a bit easier for both the mods and yourself -- you may want to consider that the nail that sticks up gets pounded down. I don't want to see a crackdown happen to you or to anyone else, but that tends to happen when things are said that are intentionally (or are reasonably foreseeable as being) irritating to the site owner.

Why more knife, more production, more clients?

If Dan and his team have enougth job and enougth $, why would they bother to have more hassle? We have here a team that do a good job and I'm sure that this good job is due to the way it is done.

Beware what you ask, you may get it.

It's quite possible that I was mistaken about the NMFBMs coming down before any shipped, although they were also atypical because they were only offered for a short time. Obviously, Busse Combat does start shipping knives before they replace one offering with another.

You arent mistaken Jim about the NMFBMs. They were pulled before shipping and the hack went up for sale.

Renee posted additional information about when SoDs will ship in the SoD Shipping time.....6 weeks are up? thread. However, it sounds like the SoD release may not be a final implementation of the New Business Plan -- there are almost always sequencing and communications issues when you're trying something new.
