I think half the magic is the " wait" . It allows us to chat- cruise over to the BF board- buy another already made knife ( Busse kin) and watch our family as they think we really lost it . They all chant together and say " Why in the world do you need another knife " ?! I simply let them read this board and now they know that " others" are just like me or worse !!( lol) Thanks

Bruce,we've been around long enough to know the answer to the poll and the Thanksgiving to Christmas release idea.
I miss the mystery of Dan posting announcements about a new offering though. The new way is really great. All Dogs get a very long chance to get in on any given release too.
That is wonderful instead of the twenty minuets and SOLD OUT way Scrap Yard used to do business.

In the end it's kind of the same. We get a chance at knives when Dan gives us a heads up,then offers and posts the blade.

It just seems painfully long when you have placed your order in the first five minuets hoping to get in,then watch as the blade stays up for another seven weeks. We kind of have to adjust our buying strategy I guess.

For sure though we will all have our Son of Dog Father for a very Merry Christmas!

Peace.

Some people just never learn.

Looks like we may have our answer:

Hmmmmm. I wonder if this means that Scrap Yard won't have a knife or knives available for sale between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Looks like I was bang on with my first post in this thread!

Man, I got a good business sense.... Hey Dan, do you need someone North of the border working for you? You can pay me in blades, I'll be happy!

JYD#70 Warning! There are more than just dogs in this yard!
