Yes I know what you mean....but for me a D/C Infi Khukri with green/black linen micarta would be another dream come true...

IN that case, I dream of a better paying job.

Not a big fan of DC myself, more rust prone and not as pretty as a sweet satin finish, but I'm with you on the black/green linen.

I know a CE finish is more prone to rust but I cannot see any reason for a D/C finish to be so? I have'nt come across any posts suggesting this before...and would be interested to hear your thinking as to why...

A busse Khukuri would be the ultimate. An INFI khukuri makes so much sense to me. So far the only choppers I have that can compete with the big Busse and Scrapyard choppers are my khukuris or kukris from Cold Steel and HI. I looked hard at the San Mai CS Kukri, but I can wait on the Busse. BTW: Mike Stewart of BRKT is working on a kukri model, too, so next year looks like a good one for us kukri kooks!

I agree that satin is more rust resistant than double cut. If you get a steel that is more rust prone you will see the difference more quickly.

It still baffles me why some people are so concerned about a little rust ?

I take my carbon blades out in all weathers and when I get in give them a quick wash under some hot water and then a wipe down with mineral oil and I have no problems ! Even if they do tarnish it won't affect how they perform so why worry ????

Well it's an interesting point but I have'nt come across it myself...that being said my previous D/C knives were a 440C Blackjack Maurader and my ATS34 Voight Amazon...so both are Stainless...but I am with Pitman here in that if looked after carefully there should'nt be a problem...I can touch up the D/C finish even if there were...Satin has a "glare" issue for me which is why I prefer D/C...but I can see how it would be an issue for some...

I'm really looking forward to "Hogzilla" myself!

Definately going to be a must have for me.

I don't buy every Busse that comes along. As Bruce says, they are expensive. A Scrap Yard version of the kukri would be nice, but an INFI one just makes me grin thinking about it. I would even sell a revolver to pay for one. I'm not worried about the finish on this one. I'll likely get a CG as this one will be big and expensive. But it will be the ultimate kukri!
