Is it alwa ys that quiet over on the Swamp board ? I started collecting over here on SY and intended to kind of blend into both or even all Bussekin. Are they going to continue ? Hope is OK to bring this up- if not I will delete unless mod beats me to it-Thanks

The Swamp is live and well and is backed up by what I have seen

Dan

Hi Hank. How's Ilse doing?

Howdy, sir! She's awesome- asleep with mama right now as I get ready to go to work for a few hours.

I'd love to see the return of the DJ, SAR, or Rat Hunter.

Everyone loves the RMD and the DJ is pretty similar. I'm sure the handle is just as comfortable.

And the SAR and Rat Hunter (Sweet EDC).

Used to be a very active forum but since SY came in, the Swamp is neither here nor there. They lost their iconic ResC line and their Micarta ones are OK but nothing really earth-shattering. Wouldn't be surprised is they stopped.

In the past you had delivery issues but every year they came out with one or two uebercool knives plus the normal line-up. The pics above say it all. Mind boggling if you think that in a short time frame they brought out blades that screamed buy me. They made Busse look like some overpriced collector toy. Rats were the real thing. The Ratmandu is a great knife (got 2 ) but the HC, please, it is just a small knive nothing special. Then they had the Ganza models to keep the fans drooling. Maybe the Rodent line whenever it comes will be a revival but I think they have problem with their pricing strategy, they can't compete with SY and are probably told to stay away from the higher margin Busse blades.

Since the Mandu I haven't bought from them, the original stuff now comes from SY. I really wish Eric would finally chim in on the rodent line.

I have always liked the swamp rats, but I got in on them late in the game. The ratmandu and HRLM are just about perfect. The chopweiler and ratweilers are at the top of the 7.5" blade food chain, at least until the SOD arrives. I'd love to have a SAR. I am anxious to see the new rodent line, too.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I like the DJ. A friend of mine has a couple that I had a chance to play with.
Really nice handling knife.

I'm lucky enough to have the RMD and the DJ and they are both amazing knives. The DJ has a smidge more blade and is a lot of knife for the weight. The DJ is basically a thin Satin Jack.

The RMD has a slightly better handle with more belly to hold and a more secure grip.
