Dude, year-round backpacking? Sooooo jealous. Someday, I can dream.
I've got a friend who does 4 season expeditions. He'll go out for 8 to 10 days at
a time in any season. A couple of years ago, he was a member of an 8 man team
hat did a January hike across the Canadian Rockies from Fairmont on the British
Columbia side to Banff on the Alberta side. Took them about 9 days to do it.
Last fall, he went in and did an 8 day hike on Cape Scott at the very northern tip
of Vancouver Island in BC. To top it all off, my friend is 66 this year, and he's
finally decided that he is going to slow down to only a couple of trips a year.
I'm almost 15 years his junior and I can barely keep up to him when he's going slow.
It's embarrassing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
