If you like the knife then go for it, who cares what the "old-timer" think, they are basically defending their turf from competition. Sometimes it seems that the whole Jerrykrishna thing is created by the hardcore fans and not by Busse themselves.

My other reservations (that the SFNO handles aren't my favorite and I've got a fairly large VetDayGanza score of 3 FSH yet to hit my card, but should soon) will probably cause me to sit this one out. I'm over the "Some Hogs are more equal than others" thing -- if Jerry says that ain't so, then it ain't. Thanks to those in the Yard for your supportive comments and good luck those of you who go for the SFNOs.

The best revenge for those Old-Hog snubs would be to try buying all 300 if one had unlimited funds, but I don't and it would hurt more than the ones who made the comments anyway.

I sent my email to Amy, I have to say though, the way some of the old school hogs were carrying on about letting new guys into their club was a little pathetic to say the least. I guess that is why I rarely hang out over there <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I've never applied. I couldn't think of 3 names. The only one I came up with is Hamdy Wayne.

There's a funny story behind my Hog name; it wasn't my first choice. I was in a political frame of mind when I applied, and Dr Seuss's "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" popped into my head, except I substituted Pig for Fish. The problem was that I got the Republican and Democrat colors confused, so I asked for "Blue Pig" instead of "Red Pig".

So, once I realized my error, I sent a follow-up email asking to change my request; just before receiving word that I'd been approved as "Blue Pig". At that point, I decided that I'd been too clever for my own good, so I contacted Amy again -- she said that she liked my alternate name, JimBoar, better -- I agreed so was re-christened (my family calls me Jimbo, so just add "ar" as a suffix, and there you go).

To make a long story just a bit longer, about this time, Jerry responds back that "Red Hog" was fine with him. So I apologized for the confusion, told him about the discussion with Amy, and soon received a final email from Jerry:
