Let me first say I love my Yard Hook. I like the recurve and it looks great too.
I always wondered why I didn't opt for the Yard Guard though.

Todays mail came from Ohio and to my surprise they took the recurve out of the Yard Guard and it became a Son of Dog Father!!!

The cutting edge which is extraordinarily sharp is 6 1/4 inches, with a overall length of 12 1/2 inches. This is my first Tan Scrap Yard Knife and I am overjoyed to have a new knife for Christmas.

Even better it fits the Spec Ops sheath that Horn Dog blessed me for my birthday this year. So no need for another sheath. It also fits like a glove in my Rainwalker Red Kydex sheath but Red and Tan do NOT go together very well,so I tonight wear it in the Bushmaster sheath from Victor.

By far the sharpest blade I have bought from Scrap Yard but I think if I had my way I'd have opted for a 7 1/2 inch cutting edge to bring it a bit closer to the name it bears.

All in all it's a new Scrapper and that's great...now BLD522 what ever shall we dream up next for a new run?

I got the greatest calander the other day...I recognise some of those sheaths!

Oregon, It is a Scrapper Six. The Yard Guard is awful close to it though. The Hook pictured just above the new SoD shows just how close in all aspects they are.

The Sod will slid in just under my Hook and above the S-6,Nice knife to be sure, and I am very happy that I opted for the Tan as well.
It's my first and only Tan from Scrap Yard and I assure you it will see tons of action in just about five months from now.

Hit by a blizzard that dumped 15 inches of snow on November 22nd and the grass has been gone since then. I hate winters here, maybe I'll move to warmer climates before my ticket gets punched.Winter for 5 months a year sucks.

Peace.

Yes- I took out my S6 and was comparing to your post. I REALLY like the S6 and the DFCG so SODs will be a welcome addition.Too much snow where you are !! Too much darn rain here- maybe move to Hawaii ( lol) Run around on sunny beaches with our knives. Sounds way too good to be true. Thanks

RN; it feels identical. In weight and feel it can't be told from a Hook or a Yard Guard I'm certain.

All around it is a beefy and bigger S-6 but being Tan makes it more special to me. Great knife!

Peace.
