Hi I am new in this forum, my english is not very good because I am Swiss, but I hope you will understand me! I never bought a Busse or Swamprat, but I NEED a Scrapyard, because I was felt in love with the Camp Tramp, Howliong Rat etc. AFTER it was out of stock. So I hope, I can order a Scrapper 6 to Europe. I sent a letter to the european dealer www.busse-messer.de but he couldn't order a knive yet. Any other way's possible? Bring them to EUROPE soon!!! Regards, Grizzly

Welcome to the forum Grizzly, I hope you stick around and join in the discussions. I also hope that they can find a way to sell you a knife.

Hello Grizzly and welcome! I hope you have success in getting a Scrap Yard knife to Europe. Several of us are hoping to receive our orders this week, and I'm sure a note or two will be posted once they start arriving. Of course, SOME guys (like Paddling_Man) already have theirs and say great things about the Scrapper!

Gravelface is correct - I believe that is how some of our Brother knife addicts in Europe got their Swamp Rats. Good luck!

You, take on a bit more in shipping, and you might want to check the other forums or ask what knid of reputation folks have before you do business with them.

Excellent idea. I have had excellent dealings with a few people on the forums, but I try to be careful. That is how I ended up with a couple of my Swamp Rat knives, and an appreciation for the people.

Grizzly send Patti an email at Scrapyard sales. I live in Britain (if you didn't guess) and I am just finalising my order by email. The shipping is $40 to Europe but like you I loved the idea of res-C and missed the original Rats so $40 is WELL worth it! You will need a Paypal account or have to use Western Union to send them money for your order. Good luck!

I wonder if you Europeans could combine your orders into 1 large order and distribute them between yourselves. I wonder if that would be cheaper...then you have the whole trust issue and I don't know how much shipping is between countries over there. Just seems like alot for 1 knife....nevermind my ramblings!

Gravelface, good in theory (and feel free to ramble!), but it'd cost a packet anyway to redistribute the knives and you know Patti (etc) will definately send the knife you paid for! What stops me buying 'used' on Ebay is all the scammers who rip people off... (That is not in anyway intended to insult anyone on this, or any other Busse family forum!)

Paul - I'm glad to see that things have worked out for you. Like you, I really like the Resiprene-C handles on my Scrapper and Rats. I hope Grizzly is successful in his quest for a Scrap Yard knife! Tom

Hi folks
Thank you all for answering - I just asked a well known member of the forum for sending me a Scrapper 6 with a sheath, but get no answer until yet..
I don't understand, why ordering is so difficult for europeans, our money has the same value...isn't it?
I planned to canoe a river in Alaska 2008 with the scrapper 6, so I have a few months left to wait... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
