Stefan - While you are waiting for a Scrapper, how about some information on your trip next year? I'm sure it will require substantial planning. Where in Alaska do you plan on going? Curious minds would like to know!

Gravelface; I depends on the situation...if I am going alone, I will paddle the Beaver Creek again, if a friend of mine is coming with me, I would paddle the Birch Creek, I will have 2 weeks at least. I also paddled the Teslin and Yukon (part) in 2001, Beaver Creek and Yukon (until Dalton Highway Bridge) in 2003 with my wife. She has to take care for our 2 childrens now...The tour on the Beaver Creek was perfect but very strong. Next time I wouldn't paddle the Yukon part.
Because I buying every book about Alaska and the Yukon she "allowed", that I could do this tour in 2008.

I have a few pictures from the tour on the beaver creek, but I can't put them in the forum, maybe they are to big (1MB) and I also can't link them...

Pictures and tour reports for the Beaver Creekare also available here:

Well, I would suggest a vacation there first. Like Northern Minnesota, it's a great place to visit when the weather cooperates, but awfully rough when it doesn't!

GF - I wanted to make my 1000th post as a reply to one of yours. Thanks for the help! Now, let's get you here as well.
