Okay boss, what will you be using it for mainly? inside, outside, by itself, how would you like to carry it? I ask because their are so many good MTs out there! and if you narrow down your uses and wants, we can help you out better
Leatherman and Swisstools are about the most popular in the world (Leatherman really floods the market abroad). SOG and Gerber are also "up there" in terms of popularity and numbers.
They all have their pros and cons, I have most of the big names (except a gerber because they get the most negative reviews over all).
Me, myself, my favorite EDC is my Victorinox-Swisstool-Spirit (not to be confused with the Swisstool). Great tool selection, great shape and size that fits your hand perfect (considered a medium MT), great corrosion resistance and a lifetime warranty, LM is 25 yrs, that really bugs me!
If you can, hold and play with any MTs your thinking of getting, that really helps because we all have different size paws and needs, likes and dislikes.
I believe you can't go wrong with any Swisstool (for quality), Leatherman (so many good models) and SOG (strongest pliers in the biz and the only one you can customize/switch-out easy).

I have a SOG in my BOB bag for just in case situation. It seems to meet the job requirements when needed.

Hey Which- will be using it for just about all mentioned- inside- outside everywhere. You know- I am an Oregon guy (lol) Yep- I got big paws so that might be a problem. I most likely want to carry in a small fanny pack ( you guys call it something) that I haul around with me.I'll take a peek at the Swiss Tools and the SOG. Already viewing the Leatherman. I see where scrappy ( Terry) has a whole pile. I might have to get at least a few. I am going to carry that rescue knife and one multi tool daily I'm thinking. Stay warm-Thank You

I have a Gerber that I carry around. I was issued that and its ok, but I really like the Swiss Army Tool. Thats a really nice multi-tool. My everyday carry knife is a Spyderco Native.

yeah it's hard to beat a SAK for size and all the tools you can get. The biggest difference is in the pliers, SAK pliers are so small, more like for hobbies then EDC; a MT is regular size, but for outside/survival how much would you need a pliers? cutting barbed-wire? a question we each should ask and figure out.

Aw- good point and one I didn't even think about. I went over and checked out what you mentioned above. I am thinking one leatherman ( household) and the Swiss Tool you like. Been fairly decent weather here on the Oregon Coast- up north where other members live ( Which) it is mighty cold by our standards. Stay warm- be safe-Thank You

I've got a Leatherman Charge like Andy's. Titanium handles and 154CM steel in the blades. Use it all the time!!
+1 on Leatherman products

I really like the Victorinox Swiss tools a lot too. I guess my top three are Surge, Charge Ti, and Swisstool.

Leatherman multi-tools are great tools and I really like them a lot. I think the SAK has a slight edge on them, except for the pliers size like WD pointed out.

what I don't understand about the Ti Charge series is only the handles are titanium, not the tools inside, the point of titanium is a little lighter tool (slight) and corrosion resistance, but the tools can still corrode!
so I can't justify the high price. also for me, a multitool is a secondary tool (especially the blade part), my knife is first, so I don't need an expensive one hand operation MT, plus the expensive titanium "handle!"
just my views

just my views WhichDawg, this can be justified when one's wife picks it up as a birthday present at Costco, and not only gets the Ti, but gets a companion Leatherman c303 folder in a kit on sale for $20 less than the price of buying a Ti at regular prices... One does not question, one accepts the gift with the utmost of humility, grace and tries not to knock anyone down as you race out the door to find some wood to cut and some wire to bend....
