Decent blade, surpassed my expactations especially for the price. I'm thinking the SOD will blow it away though.

One real world test/chore I did was prying through a dry and rotted out stump. Problem is the thin part of the tip would bend and even though I can hammer it back to shape I consider it a flaw. The rest of the blade is fine but I wonder how the SOD's tip will hold up when prying.

I would also like to see a thrust test. Penetration from a forward thrust should an encounter with a creature/person happen. No doubt these tool steels are tough, but how well can they go through clothing/hide+flesh+bone? On a single thrust? Will it get stuck?

I've also seen phone books used for penetration testing. As for the flak jacket, hahaha! I didn't mean primal testing techniques-different forum! I was thing more along the lines of ballistics gel wrapped in cloth/nylon a la mythbusters style.
