ok so far i got:

-a bunch of saplings
-CMU blocks
-some palm stalks
-a big dried log
-a tractor tire (hopefully)
-a spot to dig a dakota fire hole
-some rope cutting
-puncturing automobile (door/hood)
-chopping pork ribs in half
-phonebook stabbing
-firestarting (spine testing)

As to firestarting...

I think you'll need to remove the coating to get a decent spark. Maybe not, but I'm guessing you will...

Now you just need to get the order right to get the most useful testing out of the blade without resharpening.

i just remembered i gave my ferro rod to my friends son (scouts) so that might be out unless i order a new one. that test might have to wait.

i didnt think about the coating, maybe i can sand a piece of it off for fire making purposes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

im going to do all chopping first then penetrating and lastly the slicing (see how the edge holds up). i want to try do this all in one day with no resharpening. i figure i can bbq the ribs when its all done!
