Oooh..Dan's real good at this fortune cookie stuff...I like his interpretation best <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> We can improve our character, just by buying a new knife? Cool.

"Character is to man what carbon is to steel."
I thought it was interesting and possibly knife related... I think if you translate that it comes out to something like "A mans character is equal to the carbon steel knife he carries" it could also mean that you have a new model knife in your future...just speculation. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Dan what a tease!

I've heard that silicon (Si) can be substituted for some of the carbon usually in a knife steel. I wonder what that means?
And if you're stainless steel does that make you a potential politician? LOL silicon can be used for a substitute for carbon in just about anything. astronomers look for carbon or silicon in planets that can support life as both can provide a basic building block for organic matter.

Dan, can you send me a fortune cookie w/ the new knife inside of it? And, if you did, how big of a cookie would it have to be? Say... 8" OAL? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm a believer that all fortune cookies should end with the phrase "in bed." So if we add that phrase onto the end of your fortune we get this :
"Character is to man what carbon is to steel in bed."

I am skeptical that "between the sheets" will work in all cases. "Burst into flames" might be just as good.

We always said "in bed," but "between the sheets" works!
