HD How hard is it to baton the condor? aAre you able to baton the flattend part or is it too far back? Do you baton on the tip?

i don't think that was designed to be practical yet they didn't make it in china of 420j2.

I suppose you could if you stuck the front part of the blade into the wood and beat on the rear 7" or so. I seldom use the knife. I just thought it might be interesting.

Yeah was kinda interesting.. here's link for more info on Condor http://www.atlantacutlery.com/webstore/e...er_machete.aspx(A) in their pic. Horn Dog, I agree.. Gladius should have symmetric handle. Some kind of weight in the pommel would make it lively. The reenactors are all into historical accuracy.. I just want a tougher-than-nails version from ScrapYard, that won't Cost over the top!

That's what I want. I'll admit that Condor was inspiration for it, but a Scrapyard version would be much better, and of course much costlier.

I think a gladius would make a great SY sword. But how about a viking version?
