So... after the "Blade" show I give thanks to two very wonderful friends I was Proxy bought Bird Dog #09 and Mud Puppy #44. The first one =09
for I was born 09-09-1957 at 9:09 a.m. and lived all my childhood at 919 Tower Drive. The honor of being Junk Yard Dog #44 is recognized on my Puppy.

I have a couple sheaths that fit my Mud Puppy, but The Bird Dog has NEVER had a home of its own,due to the odd shape it has.
Long story short.. I finally ordered and received my new Bird Dog sheath.

I wanted a sheath creation from Jeff done in leather so it can age with me. As sure as the sun will keep shining I will now carry this creation on my right hip every day till I die.

This sheath is keeping with the Bird Dog heritage a Dog has a tough bite like a knife and a Bird has what?

Correct... FEATHERS!!

In closing I have to say that when I contacted Jeff for this Feather sheath I desired he jumped on it!He loves to do fancy work now and then to hone his limits. I most certainly not found the edge of his talent.

This sheath is soooooo perfect in construction and eye appeal, but the way The Bird rides with the exact look of a Wild Turkey it just blew me away!
This rivals my Dog Father Limited Edition that he made for me.
Now I have a Bird stuck on my hip for life.

You know what they say.... Birds of a feather flock together. And today my Feather came in!!

Enjoy the sheath, because a box came today...

Wow! Rainwalker is like those Celtic artisans of the past. That feather sheath is so natural looking. Jeff must have had a feather handy to mimic those lines so perfectly. Just stunning. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> You have a one of a kind sheath PoP. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have been on pins and needles waiting for you to get that sheath, PoP... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

You have a way of really coming up with so interesting challenges for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I had to ponder that one for a little while and figure out just how I'd go about making that one. Once I figured it out though, it all just kinda floated into place. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Once it was finished I just kept looking at it too, I couldn't seem to pass it without stopping and thinking about how it came out... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I'm glad you like it, I know your gunna get some interesting comments from passers by on that one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

You got it, Vic. We have quite a few Wild Turkeys that wonder through from time to time and they sometimes leave the prettiest feathers behind. I've always liked the style and contrast to them so it seemed like a perfect model for the sheath.

Thanks guys for all the complements. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Wild Turkeys indeed !

We cross their feeding area every time we leave for town, and yes they do look alike! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Jeff,I know how much you look forward to a challenge and this Feather is quite breathtaking in person.
There are NO such flaws,ugly scratches,or any blemish of any kind to be found. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Once again Rainwalker Leather Creations has exceeded my wildest expectations.

In person you would flip to see it and wear it. This is truly a case of a camera NOT doing justice to the product.
The Feather is awesome! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well done seems so shallow. Thanks again Jeff this is over the top!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Peace.

PoP, It was an absolute pleasure making it for you!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Just take care that one of those big gobblers doesn't see that sheath and gets the wrong idea and decides to check you out... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

Then again he might find himself on the wrong side of that Bird Dog, and get himself invited to dinner... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
