I just recieved my SOD a few days and am looking to get a sheath for it. I was wondering if anyone has had a kydex sheath made for one yet? I plan on ordering one from rainwalker but im not sure what would be the best way to have the sheath made. Tek lok? Drop loop? Any advice or examples would be appreciated.

unit311 - Howdy and Welcome to the ScrapYard! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Good suggestion about Andy's links, as he is a wealth of information. As far as sheath suggestions, why not ask Rainwalker himself? He has helped several fellow Dogs with ideas, then turned them into works of art!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Give Rainwalker a shout. He can make whatever you want and I promise you it will meet any expectations you may have. He's very easy to work with, great prices, excellent creativity and craftsmanship, and unsurpassed customer service.

Unit311,

Welcome to the Yard.
Great place <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Great people <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Enjoy your time here!

Jeff won't do you wrong on the sheath. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Myself personally, I like a drop sheath.
But that's just me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Cheers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Yea im thinking of a drop sheath with some sort of leg retention. It seems like a heavy blade like this would be more comfortable of the thigh than high on the belt.
