Actually, so do I. But "pretty" is the last thing I'd be thinking about if I found myself in the unfortunate position of having to cut my way out of an overturned jeep.
The SoD is a great knife, no doubt. Whether it becomes a legend remains to be seen.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my "new to me" Camp Tramp.
It should be here any day now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Then I'll be able to compare the SOD and CT side by side <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Cheers

Nobody is worse about messing with knives than I am, but I honestly think the SOD is prettier than the Camp Tramp.

i laid off the SOD because i already had a CT. i think this bad boy looks purty good!<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

The Camp Tramp looks like a giant DM to me. Certainly not a bad looking knife, Vance, but I can't see grinding up a SOD just to make it look like a CT. I love the CT. It's a great knife and worthy of all the praise it gets. I like the more pointed SOD even better.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Lay them on top of one another and they are indeed very similar.

Both are great knives I would say. The CT having better edge retention while the SOD is a bit tougher and easier to sharpen I am told. As for performance ? Sounds like they BOTH perform QUITE well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I will soon find out. Great thread here <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

After fondling my SOD's(no thats not a euphemism)for the last few hours i can say that i absolutely love everything about this knife.Fits my hand as good as if not better than any knife i have ever held. The squarer choil actually feels very comfortable.

I like the choil, for the small bit of blade sacrifices, there is a lot of utility gained. Long live the choil. (same goes for the thumbramp)

Yep. I like it the same. This one is "right".
