Yep. But AFAIC, there's no way stainless steel will fill the SR101 nitch . . . even Busse 154CM.
+1

Enjoy every sandwich.

The SFNO is the closest match to the SoD. If you lay one on top of the other you can see that they are very close in size. The Camp Tramp rounds out that trio.

If you want to compare apples to apples then the SNFO is your best comparison to the SoD.

SFNO/Tramp/SoD... brothers by another mother. You can't go wrong with any of them. I would pick them in that exact order of preference. If you price weight your decision then the SoD wins.

thanks imagine. that knife looks like one helluva piece of steel. Im thinking about buying one... should I???? its going to be like $350 after taxes and shipping wow

Your an officer and a gentleman and you have to set a good example for your men after all, so yep you should buy one.....

I have read this far, and I am (as we speak) going over to Busse Combat and buying the NMSFNO. I will be back and read the rest of this thread when I have dropped 350 on this knife! But perhaps when I get my paws on it, I will be sold!

Oh yea, another quick question for all you Busse lovers... Is the NMSFNO a saber grind like the SOD or flat grind like the S6?

I don't have one and am basically Busse free now. But generally they go all out with full height flat grinds.

Congrats you will not regret it. The thickness is suposed to be the same but they do vary a bit. As for grind it is a convex ground piece of 8 inch long steel. What color did you score

Those full flat grinds are great, they cut so well.My Steelheart as thick as that sucker is slices thru most material smoothly and easily. It's basically a razor sharp wedge. The INFI really excels in every category, bought the SH back in the summer and I've chopped wood, cut leather, rope, cord, dug holes, and cut meat(wink wink!)and it's never been sharpened.Just a swipe on a butchers steel once on each side and it will shave again.NOW THATS A KNIFE STEEL!!!

Neither, the NMSFNO is a full convex grind.

Both the CG NMFBM and the NMSFNO mic out at 0.24" at the ricasso.
