Everytime I'm in Target I always double check the knife/multi-tool isle checking in case they mis-price something. I was in there yesterday and saw they marked down the surge by 20 couple bucks. So today I picked it up. overall nice. and it fits in the pouch on my chopweiler sheath that RainWalker made for me.

Hey! I just got mine also! I love it, just ordered the extra bit kit and a copy of the SAS book. Now I just need a good place to buy some firesteel from.

Can't go wrong with a good deal on a Surge! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I've EDC'd one for quite some time now, very handy!!! I checked at the nearest Target and their not marked as low as I've heard some say... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> They told me to check back in a few days, and said they might get marked down again. If they do, I'll pick up another. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Congrats Wiggity! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

For my birthday last year, my wife picked me up a Leatherman Charge / Leatherman
c303 knife at Costco for $20 less than the Charge by itself was selling for.

I don't have much use for the Charge at work (office work), but I edc the c303
as it's small. When we go out, I take the Charge in a pouch on my belt.
It's good to have with you.

Cheers

I got mine for 55$ on ebay, its missing the diamond file but I can replace that.
It came with the leather pouch but the quality leaves much to be desired.
I am pretty sure the Rainwalker setup will be a whole lot nicer, thanks Jeff!

Btw, I used it today to add another hole in my leather belt using the awl.
I measured it wrong Jeff, it's actually 1/4" thick.
The awl worked surprisingly well!
I was impressed as it made short work of a clean hole.

Fear not, there really is a lanyard ring. Hold the Surge closed and look at the slot containing the exchange-a-blade. The one that carries a T-shank file or saw. Right underneath the lock, at the end of the handle, there is a gap. Look closely inside, and you’ll see a thin piece of sheet metal. Slide a small knife blade or something similar into that gap, behind that sheet metal, and slide it outwards. You’ll end up with a loop of metal extending past the end of the multi-tool. That loop is really too small and sharp edged to act as a lanyard hole. But you can slide a split ring or some such onto it, and run a lanyard through that.

That’s what I did. I leave that ring in place, in doesn’t get in the way. Then when I want a lanyard, I tie it to the ring.

Man!!! I wish the Targets around here work get with the program... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I called a couple of local stores and one said they were marked down to 55... and the other store was out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

Although it's not like I really need it or anything... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I know the feeling Jeff, they are out at all the targets here as well!
My cousin works there and gets 10% off so we went but there were no more. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
I'm glad I got mine when I did, I just got the bit kit and found that it has all I need for my AR-15.
That's a definite plus!

My son uses his with the pocket clip. He broke one clip while sitting down at a movie theater, the second one seems to be holding up alright. I carry mine in a pouch, but I keep the clip on it too just in case, it's easy enough to remove if it gets in the way.
