Excellent! That is a great choice of steel for a SYKCO version of the Nessmuk design.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It looks to me like the blade says "154CM".

Okay, so are these released and you just have to be lucky enough to catch one at the store at the right time?

Yeah I know it's 154CM, I said "even though" I'm dying for SR77.

If you order one while they are available at the store, you will get one. Unless I am mistaken, there is not a limited number being made, but every knife will be numbered.

I was hoping for a 4" version of the MPLE. This is even better. This looks to be one sweet hunting knife. This design is useful for skinning and bushcraft, and that 154CM steel takes and holds a super edge. Very nice.

How does the 154CM stack up against the SR77?

Different type steel altogether. SR77 is a shock steel, able to withstand lots of shock and lateral force on the blade. The 154CM is a premium stainless, often used in folders. It has superior edge holding and corrosion resistance to SR77, but not quite as tough. 154CM is a very good steel for this type of knife.
Dan posted some pics of abuse testing Busse's 154CM, and it is plenty tough enough.

Although it is a nice looking blade I will pass. I do have one question though, is this going to be in the store for a while and follow the new plan or is this going to be an old style release?
