A big problem with the AA is that some states have "knuckle duster" laws that make them illegal to own or transport (CA, MA, ...?), so my guess is that Dan probably won't make them unless it's a military overrun.

That's nice. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Almost in the lines of the traditional skinner.

Scrap Yard 154CM is different from other 154CMs. Here are some pics of Dan testing the MP. It's a bit tougher.

Jeff White. Steel is 1095 about 1/8" thick. Scales are Cherry. I got it cheap on ebay.
I thought that stamp looked familiar, I bought one of those too, except that mine has curly maple handles, and the guy who was selling them (Robert Jones / handsewnleather.com) made a sheath for it. It's a nice, lightweight knife and came with a very sharp convex grind -- bottom line with shipping was $59.28, which I consider quite good for a custom knife and hand sewn sheath.

I am learning something

So in reality Bruce...your saying that all the steels, even SR101... has been worked and made what it is by Jerry? I thought Dan did his own thing to our steel. Is Dan mainly the designer and assembler of our blades?

Thanks

Now you know why we buy knives with Jerry's heat treat. Even if you were to break one, all of the Busse companies will replace the knife. As you can see, that has to be the toughest 154CM steel on earth. I would not hesitate to use the new Scrap Muk as a survival knife. I guarantee it is tougher than my Grohmann, which seems pretty tough. You would not believe the abuse my Mud Puppy has seen.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
