OK, that's just scary - how similar blade-sizes and weights between the Camp Tramp, ASH1, SFNO, Hell Razor, SJTAC and others. WOW! MAkes me rethink what I'm trying to do with my collection. I keep buying blades of the approx same size.

Yeah...... me too, but those are some of my favorite Busse and kin blades. ... But, don't forget the SARSquatch.

Actually, IMO, the SJTAC is quite a bit lighter feeling in the hand than most of the others. But, yeah, the Camp Tramp, Skinny ASH (not CG), SFNO, HR and SARSquatch are all very similar in size, weight and to a fair degree in function. But, they look and feel different enough to justify anyway ... right

I used to have an M6, but it was just WAY to handle heavy for me. I didn't like the balance or feel in my hand. The M6 was a VERY stout knife. But, more stout than I want for that amount of blade. I assume the ASH1-CG has a similar overly stout tankish (anchor) feel to it, so I passed on the ASH1-CG. But, many people love both the M6 and ASH1-CG - so, to each their own.

It is fairly amazing how the Battle Rat and DFLE are right in the mix in the weight range as they are so much longer and WAY better choppers. Shows what extra torque and power can be gained by longer blades. .... Interesting side not: my 22.75" Tramontina weighs pretty close to 16 - 17 ounces as well.

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
