HD, While I love the Res C on my fixed blades, I think G10 would be better for a folder. The handle on the Gerber Gator is too fat to be good for pocket carry.

Yes, but it has a sheath. I used to carry my Buck lockback on my belt for years, but the newer folders with the nice pocket clips are what I carry now. That Busse 154CM would make a nice folder blade for sure, whatever handle type.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If they do make one I just hope it's not a liner lock. Actually, I hope it's not a frame lock either.

I think a proper Scrap Yard folder would be something along the lines of the Spyderco Manix, Mini-Manix, or maybe H&K 14205. Those are some rock solid folders with bank vault locks!

I am going to reach on out on a limb. It would have to come from the factory .......sharp.
I'll say it, while the SOD was sharper than the other knifes (appreciate that) I have received from the yard, SY blades typically are not very sharp. Don’t get me wrong they can cut you finger, just not off. The fact is folders need to be extremely sharp, as its main use is for cutting. Most the knifes from SY have to be touched up in order to really get the desired effect. The idea of a folder is great but I would want it hair popping sharp from the bowels of the dumpster.

P.S. It would be called the Scrapyard Biter, Scrapyard Fang.

How about a 154cm Scrap Yard Folder

The H&K 14205 (made by Benchmade) is everything that a ScrapYard folder should be. Wicked sharp 154CM in a bomb proof package with one of the best locks on the planet! Then again, the Spyderco Manix & Mini-Maix also fit the bill. If you like folders that give you a tingle down your spine when that blade whacks into the locked position, it's hard to beat the Manix.

SOG also got it right with their new titanium handled FatCat, but it is a little pricey. Their arc-lock is right there with the Axis...I picked one of these up the other day.

How about something like a Lock back Sod buster. Simple rugged design.

If they do make one let's all pray that it doesn't have a tanto blade. That would be a little too Mall Ninjaish.........No offense to people who like Tantos

Your idea for the Sodbuster style blade would be interesting Bors. I just don't see "Busse Combat" getting behind that design. By the way, I love soddies
