I am thinking they need to get things moving and maybe have a new release right behind ?
Personally, I'd like to see a bit of time between the releases. Say a couple
of weeks to
"build" up the anticipation of a new knife.
I really enjoy reading the threads where everyone speculates as to what the
next offering is going to be.
Makes it a sort of a special event.
If there was a new release as soon as the old one was taken down, I don't think it would be as much fun.
For the life of me I cannot figure out how they can do business under this new plan in this economy incuding the new 9 from Swamp.
There are 3 companies here right? Busse SwampRat and ScrapYard.
They all are owned by the Busse Family, and all work out of the same "compound"
so to speak.
If I were them, and I'm not, but if I were, I'd keep things going by having
at least 2 releases going at a time. Say like a Busse / ScrapYard release,
then a SwampRat / ScrapYard release....and so on. But that's just me.
Right now, we've got releases from all 3 companies going at the same time
(HG55, M9, Muk), not including the Ganza that just was.
Spreads the $$ pretty thin for anyone wanting to buy, but I guess that it does
give choices to all ranges of purchase depending on your finances.
Guys will turn in there info or their cc and then when the time comes " may or may not" have any money to pay ?
Unfortunately, I think that's a sign of the economic times. I know people who
have put in their orders, in good faith, only to have to cancel them because
they've had problems with their financial situation, employment, etc...
I would offer the knives with a discount for the guys that pay in full and then take orders from those that commit.
Have to agree with this. There should be some kind of incentive for the people
who commit their money when they order, pay up front.
Kinda like rewarding the people who put their money where their mouth is.
I have been on the exchange and seen many " I'll take it" posted only to see the person back out and block other serious buyers.
It could be players taking advantage of the economic downturn and peoples
financial hardships to play one off on another, but then again, it could just
be a sign of the times, a reflection of the financial realities that people
sometimes quite suddenly find themselves in.
Sorry for the rant- these things have been on my mind so thought I would see if
my fellow dawgs were thinking on the same lines.
These are important things to consider. Especially the idea of rewarding
those who put in their money up front. Hopefully they will be seriously
considered. It's money in the bank for them (the Busse family), so I don't see
why they don't give it some weight.
