SS4. Smaller and easily concealable for that surprise cut.
And remember... In a knife fight, Winner bleed Losers gush! +1 on SS4 fast and nasty...plus that beak on the butt is h-a-r-d!

Some of us are too old and too fat to escape. We carry large caliber hand guns. Amen to that H/D!!! As you know, my CCW is my S&W .40 auto, on me all the time. If I was EXPECTING a knife fight, I would want to have one of my C.S. Oyabuns - 9" VERY SHARP blade and tip. Gently curved blade for slashes, and the tip would be great for "tip-rips". They are light and VERY fast! My C.S. BushRangers are pretty good too! My Yard choice would be my DFLE.

Most knife "fights" involve two guys, one knife and one loser I'd bet. Knife/gun? Obvious answer and winner. If I am going to carry a knife it might as well be one I could use to defend myself with right? If you are not going to carry it, it won't help defend you. If I am taking a blade and looking for a fight? I think I would want oh say a katana, to keep it Busse I will say AK47. Also, it would be hard for your average unarmed crook to hurt you as bad you would hurt them armed with a knife.
If your too fat to run you won't fight as well as you could. Not to say fat guys can't kick butt .

i know its a silly question but if you had to pick one scrapyard knife to fight one-on-one with to the death which would it be.again,i know its a silly question. i was just holding my S6,thinking that it would make a decent "fighter" and started wondering if i would rather use something along the lines of an S6,YH or something larger like the DFLE or DFCG.
maybe some would rather prefer something even smaller like the DMLE or BDLE.i always thought the BDLE would be a wicked little self defense piece. N1 and anyone else interested in knife fighting for that matter, You should check this site out. It'll give you some very good realistic information regarding self defense and knife fighting. http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/

The two most unfortunate people in the world are the two people involved in a knife fight. One of them is going to die, and the other will probably die as well if he doesn't get medical attention quickly enough. It's not like you see in the movies, carefully choreographed and all.
Watch a prison shanking video. THAT is how it actually happens in real life. Fast and brutal.
This is why I carry a gun.
That said, if I had to use a SYKCO knife to defend myself, my first choice would be the Yard Guard. Second choice would be the Yard Hook. Third choice would be the SOD.
But choice of knife is a very personal matter... different philosophies, training regimens and approaches result in different choices in blades. Personally... my favorite fighters, for real-world carrying and use, are made by Al Polkowski.

My next 4 knives will probably be from him. (Note to Horn Dog - Do not even Google the man. You will have a new brand to purchase and I feel bad enough about the BRKT thing.) Oddly, Tom Krein's knives have a similar feel to Al's
