If picking a large and small knife combo...which ones would you go for?

Here are my choices...a FSH and a RMD...

Probably all I would need if I added my SAK.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Let's see what you would pick....

Hmm.... Define "little". It's a very subjective term. Myself, I think anything bigger than a standard issue SAK is "medium" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

A question that I've been asking myself since I started with knives.

For a big knife, I'd have to go with either a DFLE or a BM.
For a smaller knife, I'd go with the SS4 or Ratmandu.

So some combination of:
DFLE BM
SS4 Ratmandu

However, the new Muk and M9 might have to fit in there somewhere.

There are so many good options just within the Busse family, that it's
hard to chose just one combination.

Cheers

I know what you mean DOD...I have about 4 other "pairings" myself...but I asked the question after pondering which of these I would pick if I had to choose. It is'nt easy when you enter that zone of "they are all potential favourites"..LOL.

Momaw, "small" means a small fixed blade...or did in my mind's eye when doing my post. It could be a "medium" size knife if it is what you "pair" up with a larger blade when choosing your "two".

Usually I only carry one fixed blade and maybe two folders. But once I get the M9LE, Jeff is making me a piggy back leather sheath for the M9LE and HCLE. That should be a useful combo.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I'm Thinking DFLE and the SS4, or maybe a Swamp Warden.

That M9LE and HCLE combo is sounding pretty good. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I've got a Green and Tan Crash Axe that I've been wanting to pair up with a Green Swamp Warden I have. I even got some Tan Micarta to make handles for the SW, hadn't got around to it yet though... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> I think that'd make a pretty good combo too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
