Dude. that sucks. I hope it works out for you in the end. Sometimes it just astounds me that this kind of stuff goes on all the time.

I got ripped off the first purchase I ever did on ebay... like ten years ago... leaves a bad taste in your mouth... people are not accountable... I was so pissed I wanted to rip the throat out of the... well you know. Hopefully ebay security can track that person down for you... 'cause that person may continue ripping folks off... do you remember the user name?

I was warned by paypal when ebay removed the listing. I think that's why I got my money back so quick. I have had numerous good experiences with ebay, including my leatherman surge. I was too focused on price this time and didn't even check the sellers history, got comfortable. I take a lot of chances and thank God most have been good so far. I always check my banking accounts online and have caught unapproved transactions before. My latest risk was that zazuh dot com. Got my Maxpedition Jumbo shipped for $67. Amazon is my safest bet.

man that sucks... i just started using ebay again after about 5 years. i've never gotten had online but i have been hustled a couple of times in my life. all i can say is never ever get anywhere involved with that game where the guy has the 3 cups and a ball. they use some kinda evil magic...
definitely see if you can get ebay or paypal to cover you. It’s called The Shell Game, because the medieval version used half-walnut shells. Also Thimblerig, because sewing thimbles were used in the same way. If played with cards, one name is Three Card Monty. The name of the game makes no difference. You always loose.

Good luck with your situation, RN. I've had mostly positive experiences on Ebay, although the negative ones always leave you with a bad feeling about Ebay in general, and they have become much less desirable to deal with due to their added rules and resrictions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> I don't do near as much business with them these days myself.
