Everytime my email alert chimes I jump hoping it's going to be a picture, I'm getting excited. With each release I lean more and more towards the yard and away from my one busse infi, I guess I'm just a working knife kind of guy.

The Scraptrail looks a very useful design...I am unsure though of running a 5 inch knife simultaneously with a Busse offering in the same size...I doubt many would get both....if there were two different knife sizes this could be the case.

Do you dogs think there will be a CG and an LE version?

Do you dogs think there will be a CG and an LE version? Now THAT may be the question of the day. I suspect the answer may have to do with whether the Scrapper 5 turns out to be similar in design to the HG-55. If it does, Jerry may not want an LE version to compete with the HG-55 CG. Even if the designs are similar, however, I expect the CG will come in under $100.00 and the LE, if it's produced, won't cost much over that amount. That still leaves plenty of delta between the price of the Scrapper 5 LE and the HG-55 CG. So my guess is that we'll see both a CG and an LE version of the S5. If that's the case with two versions I'm going to have a tough decision. I don't have any scrap yard LEs seems I may have to go with the LE this time around if it's offered. I know most of you guys would say get both but I just don't usually buy that way, either will be plenty.

How did I miss this? I am glad to hear that it will be a 5", Taliwacker style would be cool and a LE version too. I can't wait to see what it is. Thanks Renee

Gotcha, well, I hope it's a little beefier than my DMDC.. Isn't that what RSeed is claiming is already such a beast? Nope, REseed has the original DMCG, which is Approx .285". The DMDC .250. That sounds pretty small but you can clearly see difference here. ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/tiny%20going%20away%20meet/IMG_0164.jpg) Even the DF is thinner then .285" and look at what it can withstand. ![[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/MRpilot/DogFatherTothefloor2.jpg) I honestly feel that .250 (or even thinner) will be plenty thick/tough for a 5" knife, but there's no persudading some of you thick headed dogs (no pun intended).

The Scrap Seed 5, 1" thick, 1" wide, 5" long blade of Black SR-77. No edge, just a chisel point and bonehead crushing pommel!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
