$760 for a Kukri .... or even $500 for a large CG "Beater" blade not intended to be fancy is CRAZY (to me!) and a LOT of money (to me!). .... and that won't even include a sheath. A custom sheath will run another $100+ So, crazy money "Plus"!!! +1. It makes no sense to me to craft a Kukri out of INFI, put a Micarta or G10 handle on it, and sell it for Busse Combat prices. If ever a blade deserved to be made out of SR77 and have a Res-C handle put on it, it's a Scrap Yard Kukri. And if ever a Kukri deserved to cost less than $200.00, it's a Scrap Yard Kukri. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> Who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky and the next knife after the S5 will be the SK. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> +1 That would make my year!

For those who can afford it, all I can offer is INFI envy! I guess I could sell my FBM and FFBM and get enough for the Khuk. But I have some nice khukuris in 5160, 0170-6, and SK-5, and I just don't want to part with my other big precious metal(INFI)knives. The Killa Zilla will be one awesome knife.

I own 6 hi khuks,2 khukri house, one carbon v and one 1055, one kabar 1085, 2 1095 khuks and many more cheap ones. I have sold knives but my khuk collection is doing better than my busse collection. oh no! what have done!

I am not thrilled with sr77. it is amazing for s7 but I do see a difference in edge retention. I would love a khuk in sr77 but I would like to see it in sr101 also.

It's true that SR101 holds a better edge and longer, but SR77 would be fine for a khukuri. At least it is easy to sharpen. Look at machetes. Many have much softer steel than SR77, and they work just fine.
