NO IDEA! i turned the corner down the decommisioned road and there they were.......When i stopped the truck they advanced on me clucking and cawing, like a bunch of thugs up to no good! They seemed to be domesticated , ie used to humans, as they came rigth up to me and waited expectantly, then when i did'nt have feed for them they clucked off and kept pecking the ground for food.

They probably got dumped off by someone at some point and had adapted to the wilds . How they did'nt get eaten by the coyotes, cougars, bobcats, bears, eagles, hawks, ospreys etc in the area is beyond me.

they were big and fat, so they were obviously feeding well. This old forest service road is about 20KM from any farm in the area.

had there been no people i might have had a hankering for BBQ'ed semi wild Buff Orphingtings!!!
