Well ... that was a good hoax while it lasted. I guess somebody got wind of our little hoax here and is having to clean up the mess. I am still very curious if this will actually be made in 154CM. I still think SR-77 is most likely though. We'll see.

what day was the original pic put up? I am betting it isn't a hoax but who knows. I am really hoping it isn't and now that I am pumped for INFI if it turns out to be S7 or 154CM it will be a let down. I would think Dan would ride the excitement of the blade itself, we would have all be thrilled at the blade alone had it been S7 but now some people will be let down and I really don't think he wants to do that. If people aren't careful with photobucket it can bit them, I have posted pics of my blades before and had people tell me I had a nice looking family, I realized what they were doing and went in and changed the settings. Anyway either way I will buy it, however I would be thrilled if it were INFI

if infi is a letdown then thats odd to me....id rather it be infi and if not then 154cm....chopping with a 5" blade sounds like youre using the wrong tool for the job. also if the scrapper 4 was 4" of edge why dog the scrapper 5 for having a bigger choil? if its that big of a deal then just let it slide...no skin off your back...it'll still be bigger than the s4...i highly doubt a bigger choil will make people buy it less...and if so then keep searching

i got here late,so i'm confused on the steel being used.
i'll take INFI or 154CM.SR77 just wouldnt vibe with this one imo.
this is the best looking knife from the yard and i really think it will be THE BEST 5in knife in existence, especially if its INFI.
i want SR77 on larger knives.this knife could be a mighty all around cutter/slicer and for that the incredible edge characteristics busse got out of 154CM would make this knife beyond incredible.
of coarse i'd rather have INFI for anything, anytime.
i've sat out the MUK and BH55 or whatever its called.not sitting this one out.no way.

Regardless of the steel used, the S5 is going to be a HUGE seller and an instant classic! (though Infi WOULD be nice!!)

Well ... that was a good hoax while it lasted. Hoax, huh? We'll see about that . . . Was the picture that was copied from Scrapyards Photobucket Account genuinely saying INFI ? Or was it "chopped" to say INFI ? Personally I think if this was a hoax it is in bad taste....because those of us on budgets may be cancelling knives based on the prospect that waiting for this knife is well worth it if it is INFI.... I also think it is a bit of a cheek to say the least "delving" into someone else's photobucket album without their permission.... However doing that AND then misrepresenting that photo by altering it....well that should lead to the moderators getting involved IMO....that sort of thing is a bit OTT...and I doubt Jerry will be happy if a number of HG55 LE orders get cancelled because people decide this knife IF in INFI is a much better prospect......and if it turns out to NOT be in INFI at all....and is not then bought.... then the family are simply losing money as a result....well that is'nt funny IMO and I doubt it would be in theirs.
