Actually, I like shiny blades too. But I prefer coated blade prices. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I like the SAR5 better than the SAR4, but that's just me.

I like the the SAR5 better also, but I am not sure that will stop me from owning a SAR4. I know Jerry did not seem to take to the SAR5, but I have no idea why. It is a great blade....

Looks like a nice enough blade, but will almost certainly be too expensive for me to justify its purchase. I'll probably be F5ing around 9:30, just in case, though.

I think there is a good chance everyone will be very happy with the price. Let the countdown begin.

The SAR 4 looks good, but I am more interested in a couple of S5's! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Also specs help. Jerry didn't provide much, but the blade is apparently 4.875" by .220" thick and full convexed.

We pushed the blade length on this model as far as we could in order to keep it in the 4" blade length designation. The blade is 4 7/8" long. We went with a full-height convex grind and a thickness of .220" in order to give it great cutting geometry and strength for its anticipated mission. Overall length is 10 3/4"

We melted down the exterior edges on this model in order to assist in chisel cutting and spine whacking. The rounded edges will not tear up the branch or stick that you are pounding with like a more traditional squared-off style corner.

The thumb notches greatly assist in blade control while the "belly free" handle design make this model flow easily in the hand when chopping.

More pics to come later. . . . once Skunk sobers up and starts clicking!!!

The SAR 4 is one of the coolest designs to ever come out of Busse Combat Shop!

Once you hold this bad boy in your hand you will never want to put it down!!!

I had not seen the posted price, but if ~$400.00 is correct then I am most definitely out! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
