I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but we always put some paracord through the front hole like this. And wrap it around the top of your hands like this. This wrapping definitely helps with chopping and safety. Makes sense to me. Sure beats having a flying piece of steel in the air. We have a downed acacia tree which i beat on and use as a gauge. i beat my golok with it in nearly as many chops as the CGFBM. acacias are VERY tough trees very tight fibers together. a few times it sounded like metal on metal. anyways i hope you enjoy the pics...i tried to capture some "hawaii" in the background. alos that limb thats cut with the CGFBM in it is the acacia i pound on. its tough as nails. no wonder tribes use the roots as shield!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> "Hey, this sure beats paying a Shrink $200.00 an hour" - Skunk Hunter JYD #65
