I think you should get in on the scrapper 5. A 5" blade is a great all rounder woods knife and as it is SY it will be tough guaranteed. For myself, I'd really be interested in the scrapper 5 in the 154cm just because that would fill a really unique niche in my collection. | | |

Please... THe DFCG/DFLE, SOD, and even the S6 are good choppers! Many DAWGS on here will attest to the MIGHT of SR77 when it comes to chopping... Hell, I would posture that SR77 with the SYKCO heat treat will outlast ANY axe. Bottom line, SR77 and SY knives are MADE for BEATING and abuse. Thats why their warranty is simply the best in the world, and of ANY product. You break it, they replace it forever. SR77 and SY knives ARE FINE choppers!

What's the last blade- assault shaker?
For me, the 7"is the perfect sized camp/woods knife. Big enough for tough jobs, choke up on the choil for finer work or tote long a 3-4" blade as well.

Depending on your budget, Busse still have skinny ashes in the store. Everybody loves that blade and it is a great all-rounder that will last a life time.

For most camping chores, I like the Scrap Muk. It is a great small blade. I did not know what to think of it at first, but the more I have used it, the more I like it. I have been using it some in the kitchen, which is one place it seems to shine.
