I have to agree with what Bruce and HD said... It may not be the easier route, but it will be more self-rewarding in the end.

Yep good call on layin low. I have a mother in law who questions the way I raise my child in front of her! But for the good of the family I keep my mouth shut and tell my daughter "Gramma is welcome to her opinion. But she doesn't make the rules....your Mom and Dad do." I'm not saying that there were not times I was tempted to do otherwise, but I did not want our daughter to think badly of her Gramma.

It actually is much better to sit back and " try" to understand " their" way of thinking. It will make you a much better and stronger person. Keep in mind I am not saying that it is easy- but nothing is. Plus- you might be surprised and learn something from them. Try offering some kind comments and even compliments and you might find that it goes a very long way. There is already too much hate and such in the world today and today is a very special day.Enjoy your family and have a very Happy Easter-Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I would tell GMother you don't appreciate that at an appropriate time.

bld522: Well said. When I said what I did about the Pc and cigar...etc, it was tongue in cheek, but I sometimes forget you all can't actually hear me and I dont actually get my true thoughts across. Don't get me wrong, I HATE PC! BUT, I do believe we put to much stock in our color, gender, nationality etc. To re-quote a famous quote (and there is nothing put honesty when I say this), can't we all just get along. Wouldn't it truly be a wonderful world. May God bless each and every one of us on this day. And never forget, today you may be the only "good person" someone notices today. Don't you want to make a favorable impression on someone, as you would want someone to make on you.

You need to know what you believe and why you believe it. Study.
Many of these young kids go to these seminars and believe all the garbage that is fed to them about people being a scourge upon "mother earth". Another brainwashing session. They worship the creation rather than the Creator.
Fairly easy to do if you have been fed evolution all your life. As a trained biochemist, I can tell you that a dog will produce another dog. It will not produce another species.
As far as being one race, yes, the human race. Eight people were saved from the flood. Your Grandpa Noah is the same as mine.

We all survived Easter dinner just fine. The ham, succotash, and new potatoes were good. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Easter09001.jpg) My brother in law, Koba, arrived late, but was on his good behavior. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Easter09004.jpg) After my daughter and her boyfriend and his child left, Koba had a beer and vented his frustration chopping some oak. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Easter09005.jpg) It was a good Easter for me. This little one, Matalin, had a big time. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Easter09003.jpg)
