I can only imagine the morale boost and grin factor after a fire fight gets turned around favourably after calling in those AC47 "Puff"s.....
Northern had a great Avatar of one letting loose....
Hearing the The Stones "Satisfaction" always reminds me of a film sequence where some M60 in a DC 10 comes in with suppressive fire....now if the budget could have afforded a "Puff"....that would have been a hell of a scene...
Nearest comparable for me was our Sea Harriers during the Falklands....not quite the same....but a welcome sight at the time....

I loved to watch "Puff" work out! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Out in the "bush" at night we would occasionally see some fool VC take a shot at "Puff" with their green tracers. "Puff" would reply with a STEADY stream of red - no more VC! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

can someone tell me the difference between the glock 36 and the glock 30???
(slimline vs subcompact)
I'm guessing the 36 would be more slim???
well I actually do know the slimline is .14" thinner...
is that the only difference??? G36 is single stack, where as the 30 is double stack. I found the 36 to be a great carry piece and it is so close to the G19 in size that they share the same holster.

Vic - I think the M240 is a "new and improved" version of the M60, though not positive. And you're right - the .50 cal. is a BEAUTY to shoot!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> And you're right again - it's DEFINITELY more fun to shoot the ammo than to "hump" it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Of course, the gunner is always one of the first targets in a fire-fight, along with the radio-man and Leader! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> M249 made by FN, pure fun!

Thank you PK and HD for your service. I know that Puff saved a many mans rear. I have heard the first hand accounts of Puff and what a resupply heli would do for the Marine in the field.
