wouldnt know but if it's a cheap way to get a 1911 lookin like the kinber desert warrior SHOULD have looked, then do it!
throw on the busse slabs and you will have one sick pistol. my concern would be that you may no longer see the springfield mark. ehh i could live with that.. I'll would never sell it. so resale value isn't a concern.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

The gun is a Series 80 integrated compensator customized by Terry Tussey out of California at the time (all of the Colts and hybrid Springer/Colt longslide were completely customized by Mr Tussey. It's has genuine elephant ivory grips with some amazing grain. On a trip to CA last November a me and buddy shot my Baer Concept VI and the Colts at 68 yards (Leupold rangefinder confirmed). Both guns were very accurate with 230 gr FMJ WWB ammo against various targets that we set up. Great shooters and great reliability.

Beautiful 1911. Give the details on it. Who did the work, what finish, what upgrades, etc! It was a basic Springfield 1911, parkarized finish. I sent it off to a local smith, obviously had it plated, trigger, sights, ambi safety, hammer and backstap. The checkering on the front strap was done by hand. The guy did an outstanding job, took a while but well worth it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
