HOLY SMOKE Steel Fan! You had a CLASSIC and got rid of it for another! I hear you about being "hindered" with the single stack. Shame you had to get rid of it though. BUT you got you a nice toy to play with, a REAL NICE toy! Congrats. I couldn't afford a gun like that, let along all the ammo to put it to good use! Good luck in your competitions!

I wish I would have had the forthought to have kept them. I wish they would bring it back, and do you know when they stopped printing it? I can't remember when they stopped for sure, maybe about 10 years... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I just remember they sent me a notice saying that the rest of my subscription would be fulfilled by Back Woods Home. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Jeff. I really liked that magazine, but I guess all good things must come to an end some day!

I had been a subscriber for several years when they really started to talk-up Y2K. I renewed my annual subscription, but stopped receiving my copy so I called them. They told me the magazine went out of business, and when I asked about a refund they said "no". I still have three or four years worth of the magazine in my "survival library". It was a shame to see it go, because I really thoroughly enjoyed it!

Wow, dogs. That's some serious hardware you guys pack. I am embarrassed to show what I packed today on my little walk in the park. Just a little .380 pocket pistol. And this folder: And this little fixed blade shoved in my waistband. I was not meaning to carry a fixed blade, but the Browning was in my Jeep and I thought it might come in handy if I found some more fatwood. That sheath makes it easy to conceal.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

No reason to be embarassed.(I'm sure your not) Better than a sharp stick, as the saying goes. You're not a victim to be and have peace of mind on your walks.

A .380 in the pocket beats the .44 in the jeep.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

A .380 in the pocket beats the .44 in the jeep. Unless you're in the jeep. That's what I carry too.
