My Grandpa went to Australia 3 times he loved it so much. I rember on picture of a road train BIG semi with 3 or 4 trailers behind it, and the MASSIVE bars on the front that he said the locals called "roo-bars" There all over the place out west, the roads being narrow it pays to move right off the road when they go past so you don't get sprayed with rocks. Here's an old picture I've taken years ago out in the center, often they have four trailers, these only three. ![[Linked Image from i7.photobucket.com]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/1402jw/Ian%201/130.jpg)
I told my wife I wanted to be cremated. She made me an appointment for tomorrow afternoon.

The isolation of Australia has resulted in some strange animals. Some might say, it is beginning to have that effect on the folks there, too! Goat Chariots! Too cool. Haha! I have some family/friends who live there, so I must visit some day. Fun picture, thanks for sharing.

Ian - thanks for the mini-tour! Looks like you had a good time, even if "Go You Good Thing" didn't do so good.

Thanks for the info on the opals too. The one you pictured is breath taking.
I have heard there is a large wild camel population there too. Any truth to that?

There are many wild Camels and Donkeys throughout the center, Buffalo are up in the north with the Crocodiles. Brumby's ( Mustangs) are all over Australia. The Camels are left overs from the early days. http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2005/s1344396.htmTypical Camel Country ![[Linked Image from davebyrnes.com.au]](http://www.davebyrnes.com.au/Adelaide%20to%20Darwin/Day%2009%200746%20Wild%20camels.JPG)

Well not too far outback, but far enough to see the Great Goat Races again. <snip> Hope you enjoyed them, Ian. Now that looks like fun. Of course I'd need a couple brews to really get into the spirit of it

Thanks for confirming the camels. I guess like all other things, if they get out they will reproduce.
