I may have just added another to my dream team. During the Chow Ganza I ducked back to The Exchange on BF and kept drooling over the Busse AK-47s. Finally, after exerting much restraint, I broke and scored one. It should be here mid week sometime. Black and urban grey. I have been wanting one for a while. But for some reason it just looked longer than I wanted. I have trained w/ smaller blades in FMA for over 15 years. So a two handed samurai sword seemed off base for me. But after researching it, examining its actual size, reviewing pics of others holding them, it appears to be almost perfect in size. So pics are forth comming. Now what I need is a SY sword. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

HD, You are a hard core bowie guy! That Collins bowie is simply gorgeous <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> The patina on the combat blades really makes them special IMO. A nice patina says that the blade has been used and loved, kinda like kids stuffed animals that have lost some fake fur <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Yes, Kraz, these are my childhood toys. Being a baby boomer and growing up on Navy and Marine bases, these things comfort me. Who knows how many Japs that Collins slew in WWII?

Those swords fit your living room perfectly bld. I wish I had a place to hang some nice steel. My lineage is English/Irish/Scot and with my mom, German. So I have lots of sword types to choose from <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Checking on the Kris Cutlery site I found that nearly all of the swords were made with 5160 spring steel. There are a couple swords that are made with 1075. I was impressed. Those swords are a great value for the money - grats!
