I've hidden my knives a couple times and thought I lost it too, but it never took me years to find.

me too! maybe it's because my bed is over 20 years old and non supportive. I can't sleep with a pillow. I need my head flat.

Cats playing have resulted in more than one of my knives finding their way under my bed. Fortunately I keep them in their sheaths with the strap snapped - the knives that is!

Congrats on the find!
I wish I would find one under my mattress - but that would be weird cause I've never actually owned one and would wonder how it got there?

Congratulations.
That, especially in SR101, has to be one of the best and most undervalued purposely designed knives produced. Although I am not a hunter I would image this to be the perfect hunting knife. Great shape to the spine for finger positioning in skinning, sharp enough point for kaping. It does not have an overly thick profile and plenty of sweep. Nicest part is it is plenty tough enough to serve as a survival knife if needed.
